Welcome to Family Wealth Legacies. By engaging with our services or accessing our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. These terms are designed to protect both your rights as our client and our rights as a service provider.


1. Scope of Services

Family Wealth Legacies provides comprehensive estate planning, wealth management, and related advisory services, including but not limited to:

  • Wills
  • Limited Powers of Attorney (LPA)
  • Probate
  • Lifetime Trusts
  • Tax Planning
  • Succession Planning
  • Philanthropy Planning
  • Multi-Family Office Services
  • Inheritance Tax Insurance

We serve clients within the UK and internationally, depending on the nature of the request. While our primary operations are based on UK laws, we may collaborate with international partners or adjust our services to comply with foreign legal systems where necessary.

Note: Any services provided outside the UK are subject to additional terms, which will be communicated to clients as needed.


2. Payment Terms

  • Deposits and Payment Plans: For certain services, we may require deposits or offer payment plans. Details will be communicated in writing before the commencement of services.

  • Refunds: Refunds will only be issued under exceptional circumstances and at the sole discretion of Family Wealth Legacies, in compliance with UK laws.

  • Penalties for Late Payments: Late payments will incur a penalty of 3%-10% of the outstanding balance per month, calculated daily. The exact rate will depend on the nature of the service and the agreement terms outlined at the start of the engagement. A minimum administrative fee of £50 will also apply to cover recovery efforts. Continuous failure to settle payments may result in the suspension of services, reporting to credit agencies, and/or legal action.

  • Cancellations: If a client cancels services, Family Wealth Legacies reserves the right to retain the deposit and charge for any work completed up to the date of cancellation. Additionally, we may charge for any losses incurred due to cancellation, including but not limited to administrative costs, loss of scheduled time, or third-party expenses.


3. Use of Third-Party Services

We may use third-party services, platforms, and tools to enhance the quality of our offerings. These may include:

  • CRM systems
  • Accounting and financial software
  • Analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics)
  • Legal and compliance tools
  • Secure data storage services
  • Communication tools (e.g., email marketing software)

By engaging our services, you agree to allow Family Wealth Legacies to share your data with these trusted third parties solely for the purpose of delivering our services effectively.


4. Intellectual Property

All materials, tools, templates, software, and strategies provided by Family Wealth Legacies are the exclusive intellectual property of the company. By engaging with us, you agree to the following:

  • You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the materials strictly for the purposes they were provided.
  • You may not copy, share, distribute, or reproduce any materials without prior written consent.
  • Violation of this clause may result in legal action, and you agree to indemnify Family Wealth Legacies for any damages resulting from such violations.

5. Service Termination

Family Wealth Legacies reserves the right to terminate services under the following conditions:

  • Failure to provide accurate or complete information necessary for the delivery of services.
  • Breach of any agreement terms by the client.
  • Non-payment or delayed payment of fees.
  • Engagement in fraudulent or unethical practices.

Clients may terminate services with 30 days’ written notice. Any outstanding fees or obligations must be settled prior to termination.


6. Dispute Resolution

In the event of disputes, the following steps will be taken:

  1. Negotiation: Both parties will first attempt to resolve the matter through good-faith negotiation.
  2. Mediation: If negotiation fails, a neutral mediator will be appointed to facilitate a resolution.
  3. Arbitration or Legal Action: If mediation is unsuccessful, disputes will be resolved through arbitration or legal proceedings, with jurisdiction based on UK law.

Note: Clients agree to indemnify Family Wealth Legacies against any claims resulting from their own failure to comply with advice or agreements.


7. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. For international clients, services will comply with relevant local laws, but any disputes will remain under the jurisdiction of UK courts, unless otherwise agreed.


8. Liability

Family Wealth Legacies shall not be held liable for:

  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
  • Errors or omissions resulting from inaccurate or incomplete information provided by the client.
  • Delays or disruptions caused by third-party services.

Our liability is limited to the fees paid by the client for the specific service in question.


9. Client Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate and timely information necessary for service delivery.
  • Reviewing and understanding all documents and advice provided.
  • Adhering to all payment and agreement terms.
  • Maintaining confidentiality regarding any materials or strategies shared by Family Wealth Legacies.

Failure to meet these responsibilities may result in delays, additional fees, or termination of services.


10. Physical and Online Interactions

These Terms and Conditions apply to:

  • All online interactions, including email communications, website usage, and virtual meetings.
  • All physical interactions, including in-person consultations, document signings, and workshops.

By engaging with us, clients acknowledge and agree to the terms of both online and offline engagements.


11. Amendments

Family Wealth Legacies reserves the right to update or amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Clients will be notified of significant changes via email or our website.
